OUR MISSION...

Pittsburgh Hockey History.

Welcome to
Pittsburghhockey.net, an online Pittsburgh hockey museum where you can explore the city's hockey origins. We feature the history of Pittsburgh Penguins, Hornets, Pirates, Phantoms, Forge, and Shamrocks. Inside you will find an assortment of artifacts and information from many contributors. We hope that one day this collection could be the inspiration for a museum inside the city's newest hockey arena.

PAST

Inside our site you will find historical timelines, jersey histories, arena descriptions, all-time uniform numbers, rosters and some statistical snippets that are complemented with photographs of Pittsburgh hockey artifacts. Every day our home page details milestones in Pittsburgh hockey history. It changes every day!

PRESENT

We offer Pittsburgh Hockey Blog for our readers in addition to providing current Penguins' and NHL headlines. We want to educate the community and include the history of local college and club level hockey. Please help us by submitting rosters, photographs or website links for your local team.

FUTURE

We are not a commercial hockey site, but we offer excellent opportunities for fans to buy, sell, or trade game worn, game used Pittsburgh-related jerseys and vintage hockey memorabilia. We offer a marketplace that features a trusted community of Pittsburgh hockey experts and enthusiasts. Our site features a free classified section for listings and want ads. It's like the popular auction sites without the listing or selling fees.

We do receive a very modest commission on banner ads linked to this site that provide an opportunity for this site to sustain itself. Thank you for supporting us and for preserving Pittsburgh's rich hockey history.
