The First Pittsburgh Penguins' Contract
Les Binkley was the first official player signed by the Penguins.

His base contract was for $14,500.

Binkley's incentives included:

• $1,500 if the team finished in 1st place.

• $1,000 if the team finished in 2nd place.

• $750 if the team finished in 3rd place.

• $1,000 if he played in 37 games.

• $500 if the team won the Stanely Cup.
