Game Five - Review
Petr Sykora scored with 10:03 remaining in the third overtime to push the Penguins past the Red Wings to stave-off elimination in the final. Detroit leads the series, three games to two.

Marc-Andre Fleury made 55 saves against the Red Wings.

Overtime was made possible when Maxime Talbot tied the game with 0:35 remaining in regulation.

Pittsburgh got goals from Marian Hossa, Adam Hall while Darren Helm, Pavel Datsyuk and Brian Rafalski scored for Detroit.

Game Four - Review
Jiri Hudler's third period goal has pushed the Pittsburgh Penguins to the brink of elimination as the Detroit Red Wings skate away with a 2-1 victory in Game 4.

Marian Hossa scored a first period powerplay goal that was answered later in the period by Nicklas Lidstrom.

The win by Detroit snapped Pittsburgh's 17-game winning streak at home and was the Penguins first home loss of the playoffs.

Game Three - Review
Sidney Crosby scored twice and Adam Hall bagged the game-winner to lift the Pittsburgh Penguins to a 3-2 win over the Detroit Red Wings in Game 3 of the Stanley Cup final.

Marian Hossa had two assists and Brooks Orpik had seven hits for Pittsburgh.

Johan Franzen and Mikael Samuelsson scored for the Red Wings, who now hold a 2-1 series lead heading into Game 4 on Saturday night

Game Two - Review
The Red Wings jumped out to a two goal lead and played a strangling defense and continued to keep the Penguins off the scoreboard for the first 100 minutes of the final.

Brad Stuart opened the scoring with slapshot in the first period and Tomas Holmstom scored on a tap-in along the goal line.

Valtteri Flippula scored a goal for the Wings in the third period and goaltender Chris Osgood thwarted all 22 of Pittsburgh's scoring chances and opened the final with 120 consecutive minutes without allowing a goal.

Game One - Review
Two unassisted goals from Detroit Red Wings' Mikael Samuelsson lifted the Wings to a 4-0 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final .

The Penguins showed a spark in the first period with 12 shots, but could not convert on four powerplays.

The Red Wings locked the Penguins down allowing only seven shots in the final two periods, and Wings goalie Chris Osgood held the shutout.

Daniel Cleary score a short-handed goal at 17:18 of the third and Henrik Zetterberg finished Detroit's scoring with a powerplay goal with 0:13 remaining.

March 12 - The Penguins establish a single-season attendence record with the 35th consecutive sellout.

Tickets for the Winter Classic sold out in 30 minutes.
